“I Don’t Want No Super Baby” (18 weeks)
Posted on March 29, 2006, in Pregnancy Journal by Mom | 1 CommentToday we had our second ultrasound (see Mark’s entry). Highlights for me included feet and hands. The spine profile was just beautiful. We also learned that our baby is bigger than average at 7 inches long. (Today, we saw his/her 1″ long femur– now is that the cutest little thigh y’ever did see?) When Doctor Tao announced this bit of news, I have to admit, I was not exactly thrilled. In fact, the very thought made my birth canal hurt. “Doc, I don’t want no Super Baby”. She chuckled and said, “It’s just a little big”. Well ok. I guess that’s better than too small!
I took the Lateral Forces Architectural Exam today after the Ultrasound. I felt the little bugger fluttering during the exam. I had some seismic forces of my own! Get it? Seismic forces? Ha ha ha oh, forget it. Maybe you get cornier the closer you get to parenthood.
