Happy Halloween!

Boo!You may start to see more photos on the site (two new sets this week!) for a number of reasons. For one, Mom and Dad are getting a little better at this parenting thing, leaving more time for snapshots. Ruby has also started doing more than just laying there looking cute (OK, she still does a lot of that, but at least now she is smiling for the camera!). Last but not least, Dad got a new camera (new toys always get played with more than the old ones.). For this last reason, you will probably see much less of Dad on the site since he will be behind the camera, not the object of its lens.

Yesterday was a big day for Ruby. Not only was it her first Halloween, but it was also her first day at daycare. The Sadecki family has started a new schedule with Mom and Dad working 4 days each and spending a 5th day alone with Ruby. Ruby will spend the other 3 days with her friends at the Children’s Place. Her first day there went very well. She took 2 naps (in a crib!), played outside, and completed her first art project!

Mom and Ruby enjoy lunch at Special Teas in WorcesterRuby’s 10th week was an eventful one. She had her 2 month checkup and got a clean bill of health from her pediatrician. She’s up to 11 pounds and 21 inches riding right along the 50th percentile. She continues to be incredibly alert and playful and Mom and Dad just love making her laugh.

Ruby has started playing a new game called “How long can I go without crapping?”. Mom and Dad thought 3 days was way too long, but her doctor said such marathons were to be expected and that she once saw a baby go two weeks without a poop! Ruby broke her own record last week by holding for 5 days. She chose to let it all out on Dad’s watch… It looked as though someone had taken her by the armpits and dipped her in a vat of crap (I kid you not).
