Stumbled upon family day at the ICA

Today is Dad’s birthday and since it was his special day he got to choose the days events. Ruby was not too excited when she heard he wanted to go to the Institute of Contemporary Art, but all that changed when we arrived and found out it was family day. Not only did we get in free, but we got to make flip books, touch some art, and even learn how to Hip-Hop dance…

Ruby has discovered some new muscles in her face. She can make up her own and can imitate various reactions, expressions and moods on demand. “Show me your sad face” is guaranteed to get a laugh every time…

We took Mom out to dinner tonight at PF Changs for her birthday. Dad also got to try out a new Social Media service called 12seconds to upload some cell phone footage of Ruby playing in the fountain at Christian Science Plaza.

Swimming in houghton pond

Taking some swimming lessons in Houghton Pond at the Blue Hills Reservation. Ruby is pretty fearless in the water. Still hasn’t figured out that you have to keep the stuff out of your mouth and nose yet…

Going for a hike before our day on the beach

The Sadecki’s discovered the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA only 8 miles from home. There are dozens of miles of hiking trails, a great playground and a pond for swimming. Here we are going for a hike in the morning. Ruby just loves the backpack. We use it for getting around the city just as often as getting around in the country!
